Collette is a clutter mentalist. She uniquely combines her formal training with learning from her clients and personal experience to craft solutions unique to every situation.
The method centers around that magic first 90 Min 1-to-1 meeting. It’s all about your particular home or business and it’s a really important part… The A-Ha’s are gonna blow your mind!
First, we uncover sneaky barriers which will show us the best decluttering approach for you and your people.
Remember: Every. Situation. Is. Unique.
Then we tweak how all your stuff is set out so daily maintenance becomes effortless.
AND you get a kick-start plan to swing it all into action.
Then, there’s a six part audio series. Don’t worry, each audio clip is only a few minutes long. So nobody dies of old age waiting to get to the point.
You collect a virtual tool box full of juicy tips, action steps and bonuses. It’s easy to understand because it’s broken down into bite-sized morsels so you’ve got time to get your head around each clever new concept before you apply it.
Any old ‘tidy up’ can make your place look great for a while, but then it falls back into the same chaos. Why? Because the Actions and Habits that made it messy are still there.
Spoiler alert: it’s not laziness causing this. I promise. I fact, laziness is saying “I’ll just be tidier from now on”. If that was a thing, you woulda aced it by now.
There’s a perfect storm of many things at play. Did you know there’s equipment and systems for ‘Tidies’ and there’s equipment and systems for ‘Messies’? The trick is to make the systems fit the people.
This reduces overwhelm so everything stays tidy, flows smoothly and decisions make themselves.
I’ve been helping declutter homes and businesses for 5 years now.
I found the traditional method was flawed (but I still tried it ‘cos I thought that’s what everyone wanted). You know, the one you’ve seen on T.V. In-home 1-on-1 sessions, high energy, exhausting, takes hours. Even though the sessions make the rooms look tidier, they never seemed to get to the root of the problem. In the end, the client has a tidy place for about a month before, once again, it all turns to…
Often, super-tidy people try to ‘sell’ their less-organised friends on the clear superiority of tidying all the time. Problem is, the Tidy’s habits are born of an intense aversion to mess. A priority ranking system that puts tidying above all other things. If someone’s always been naturally meticulous they honestly don’t understand that their more ‘relaxed’ friend ain’t got time for all that fussing. They got shit to do! So they need Tidy and Functioning, but without all the work.
Continuous tidying drives us bonkers long term and here’s why: It’s not the stuff that’s the problem, or whether you’ve used it in the last year. It’s the psychology behind human behavior that’s the kicker. A Messy is just a Tidy with the wrong stuff and the wrong system.
When we understand our own, limitations, fears, environment and habits, massive change can happen.
When we replace dumb systems, guilt, fear and chaos with ease, security and decisiveness, you’ll feel GREAT again. Your whole life will fall into an organised rhythm.
You won’t even need someone to organise for you like those people on TV. You’ll know more and be firmly in the drivers seat. Imagine passing those skills down through your family and staff.
